SkinCare Routine - Mario Badescu Review.

It is true. When you hit 25, your skin never feels the same like it did before and thus you have to do whatever you can do to save it. If you  have been following me on SnapChat, a few weeks ago, I ordered a couple of skin care items to save whatever good is left off of my skin. Out of the items I ordered, I had major hopes for the Mario Badescu products. So lets see if they lived up to the expectation.

Mario Badescu Glycolic Gel:

What it claims:
Congested and oily skin will be noticeably brighter, blackheads minimized and rough, dull texture eliminated with use of this thin and lightweight gel. Created from an oil free formulation of naturally exfoliating Glycolic Acid and Alpha Hydroxy Acids to speed up cell turnover. Not recommended for use along with topical prescriptions, acne-erupted or sensitive skin.

My skin was literally horrible before I actually took out time and invested something in my skincare routine. Originally, I was supposed to buy the drying lotion but researching made me end up buying the gel. It comes in a plastic bottle with a little squeeze top, which gives it full points for non spillage and unbreakable bottle. The consistency of the gel is not too runny neither too thick. It is just perfect to spread it evenly all over the skin! I have been using it since the past 6 weeks and I am only a quarter way through the bottle.

Did it work for me?

Yes! Absolutely yes! Right after the second use, my skin felt fresher and I had noticeably smaller pores. Constant use for a week made my skin so much better that I could even dare to venture out without a hint of makeup on my face! The marks on my skin, the pigmentation around my mouth area and my acne was so so much lighter and literally non visible. Also, even though the directions tell you to use it twice a week, I used it everyday for 2 weeks and then gradually reduced to using it thrice a week. This product has definitely become a staple in my skin care routine and I do not wake up with an oil field on my nose anymore!

Will I recommend it to my friends and family?

I already have! I have had my sister purchase one and got one of my friend hooked to it!
I will rate it 8.5/10.
It retails for £12.85.

Mario Badescu Drying Mask:

What it claims:
Mario Badescu Drying Mask (60ml) is a Colloidal Sulfur based mask which that reduces surface oils, calms existing acne and prevents future blemishes and breakouts.

* Soothing Calamine makes this mask safe and gentle for most skin types.
* Great for back and chest acne eruptions.
* Best when used as a companion product to the Mario Badescu Healing & Soothing Mask.
* Suitable for all skin types.

So like I stated above that I originally planned on buying the drying lotion but my acne was so bad that I needed something stronger for my entire face. The mask does smell a bit. I can not put a finger on the smell but it does seem to smell like a burning tyre. It comes in a small tub that is more than enough for a good three months. The product spreads on evenly if applied with a brush and dries out quiet quickly.

Did it work for me?

Yes it did. Keeping aside the smell factor, the product is actually great! It dries out a pimple overnight and reduces the redness around the pimple. I have used this mask all over my face and only on acne spots too.

Will I recommend to friends and family?

Yes! I definitely will. The Mario Badescu range has won my heart over!
I will rate it 8/10.
It retails for £15.50.

Overall I am extremely happy with my skincare routine and can not rave about it enough! My skin is finally breathing and I can go out makeup free most of the time!
