Home Therapy - 5 Tables that vamp up your room!

When you enter a room, whats the first thing that you see? A piece of furniture that makes a statement and brings the room to life!

For me, no matter how the room is decorated, a statement table takes the cake away! Whether it is a coffee table, a side table or a entry way table, it needs to make its presence felt.

Move away, IKEA, the world is ready for some table loving! Below are my favourite statement furniture pieces and I absolutely adore them!

1. The Wood Effect.

These scream minimalism. If anything, just place this table in the corner and it will look gorgeous! Organise by adding flowers and a few magazines and this table is going to be the epitome of interior.

Whatever shape the wood is in, whether it is a slab, a leaf shape, or just an irregular piece, it is going to make the room feel a bit different! Put a simple chair next to it with a faux fur throw on top of it and you have yourself a masterpiece.

2. The Trunk Stack.

When I was moving in my new house, I had this in my mind. But when I started putting the furniture together, it just did not fit. But now since, we are revamping the guest room, I might be able to fulfil my wish.

You can decorate the table with magazines, a world map, or a few vintage items like, vintage glasses, a vintage phone (thats my favourite) a clock, old post envelopes or a few frames. Anything goes.

These vintage trunks make a statement on their own. Whether you stack them up in the bedroom or next to a sofa, they are going to look good. I really prefer leather trunks, they give a more vintage feel to the room but you can also add metal trunks too!

3. The Chesterfield Table.

I absolutely love love this style! I have in mind a beautiful tiffany blue colour for the table that just livens up the room! You can add small trays, or a wooden full tray that covers the entire table, it is just going to be eye candy. Such a simple piece of furniture yet, it makes such a big statement. You can put in flowers, magazines, candles (if you don't have kids) potpourri in a gorgeous bowl and it is just going to look breathtaking!

Put statement paper weights on top of magazines and you have yourself a celebrity inspired table! This is absolute gorgeousness and I can't keep my eyes off it!

4. The Space-Saver Side Table.

I am totally getting this done! It is such a space saver and it looks gorgeous with a huge chesterfield bed! My heart is literally thumping with joy thinking about what a big presence its going to fill the bedroom with! I am huge on cosy bedrooms and this is perfect! You can either add an industrial light on it or get a regular lamp fixed. You don't even have to worry about cords showing because they're going to be hidden behind the wood!

Seriously, how gorgeous does this look? It gives a pretty good rustic country house vibe and I am all about that vibe.

5. The Pop-Art Entry Way table.

I wish, I wish, I had a huge entry way. This would have totally gone with the decor of my house! It gives the house a whole new level of designer feel without actually having a designer to put it together.

For some really odd reason, this table reminds me of Gossip Girl.
You can decorate the table with big candles, or even a skull face. You don't even have to add a huge mirror on top of the table. You can put some frames with family photographs in it and it is going to look gorgeous.
